I like the idea of reading TO fiction, but I'm definitely not a young adult. Is YA your only target audience? Do you have printed versions of books?

Though I haven't read any of your stories, it sounds like you're doing great things. Keep it up!

I think adults would enjoy my writing as well, though my main characters are usually between 15 and 26 years old. 😅 I mainly market as YA so that young adult readers know there's no adult content in it to worry about. Think 16+

Besides the serial stories and flash fiction I'm publishing here on Lexi's List, I also have a published ebook novella and I will be publishing my debut novel in paperback and ebook this summer.

Excellent! Make a scene about it so I remember to order it! I prefer to flip pages when I read books. 😉

😂 I'll likely hardly talk of anything else the closer I get to my release date! This first one is set in 1854. I have already been sharing teasers and quotes of this novel and other stories on my Instagram (@servantsongpublishing) and will be sharing even more there, here on Substack, and on my other socials as time goes on.

I love this! An as writer who literally burned all their old stories because of a revaluation, (seemly God led) i can understand that side of it. I definitely appreciate your desire to write good fiction without it being cheesy, preachy, or full of junk. The way you describe your writing reminds me very much of Janette Oke. Especially with her Love Comes Softly series. (one of my all time favorite Christian writers.)

Robin Jones Gunn is another Christian author who is an amazing romance author who very much includes God in her books. (however her books are more romance/drama focused than I feel Janette Oke's are.)

You have me very interested in your writing now. Also part of the reason I subscribed to you in the first place was because of your pen name lol. (i love that its a pun on Lexicon. I've had Lexicon as a gaming profile name before because its a pun on my name and I love reading/definitions) interestingly enough, Lexi is the one nickname I've never liked for myself. But it drew me to your page. Can't wait to see whats next for you!

That's awesome! I love seeing how God works in other writer's lives.

I haven't read any of Robin Jones Gunn's books. 🤔 I'll have to check them out! I'm always on the lookout for good reads.

Lol! I've loved the name Lexi for so long and then when the pun came into the picture I couldn't resist using it, even though I knew that technically it was pointless to have a pen name if not for anonymity, which I am not aiming for.

(sorry for the late reply. 🫣)

Oh I don't mind late replies, sometimes they come just when i need them. And yeah, I've also debated about a pen name, and a fake name for my (in progress) jewelry business. However, a fake name does kinda come in handy since we have some crazy family members that we cut off contact with a long time ago, but keeps trying to contact us anyway. They recently came to my sister's place of work cuz they found out where she works, so i always try to be super careful about my name being out there. We can't get a restraining order cuz there's no physical danger, as of yet.
